Even though its only been a little over 3 weeks, it seems like forever since the last post. I guess that's because so much has happened since then. It's too much to post about now, but the biggest thing is that I have a suitor!
Long story short, we worked together 2 years ago. I had a crush on him but kept it to myself because I wasn't sure if he was interested and I shy away from dating co-workers.
Last summer he showed up at the job and joined me and my co-workers for after work drinks.
After that outing, we exchanged a few emails but nothing more came of it.
This summer I came across his email address and decided to contact him to see how he was doing. We exchanged numerous emails, with the last one being invited for drinks.
Had drinks at a local bar, talked for hours, he invited back to his place, where we talked some more, and once I realized how late it was, I told him that it was best that I go. I didn't want to be responsible for him getting a late start for work the next day.
After a few days of replaying the date in my head, I realized that he was hitting on me throughout the night! I felt like such an idiot! I was so clueless! When I got up the nerve to contact him again, he was headed out of the country. For an entire month!!!
After what seemed like an eternity, he asked me out again, and I happily obliged. I was determined to not let the same thing happen again.
I won't go into details about the date, but I will say that we both enjoyed ourselves. Really enjoyed ourselves :P
The suckiest part about it is that he'll be super busy for the next few weeks, which means I'll have to be patient, which I'm not very good at. But if patience is the smallest of my worries right now, then I'm doing alright.
